This piece is 1 out of 38 paintings that were originally displayed as a collection in Moosejaw Mountaineering for ArtPrize 2021 ~ a 3 week, interactive competition and festival in Grand Rapids, Mi, in which the public votes for artists who will receive cash prizes.

2021 was my first year entering ArtPrize. What I most enjoyed about the process was getting to sit in my venue with a little table, live painting in front of my paintings, and meet people from all around the world. I connected with other artists, business owners, tourists & travelers, folks who were at Woodstock, all of whom were very kind to me.

I’m already thinking about how great next year’s contest will be!
