United is a painting I made in January of 2021. Political tensions were high in the US, and maybe they still are, so I wanted to create a visual representation of my feelings at the time. United is a painting that I use to show how intertwined we all are. I believe that separateness is an illusion. There is no “them” and “us.” It’s “we.” And we’re all in this together.
The only colors used are blue and red, but you may see purple in the middle due to optical mixing.
